Women's Mentor Network - Mentor Registration
“When we support the growth and empowerment of women and girls, we raise the quality of life for everyone. This is because when women lead they not only lead businesses, they lead in their community, they fight for their children, and they give voice to issues that are important to our collective future -- like education and health care” (Biddle, 2010).
Huffpost Healthy Living: "Why Mentoring Young Women and Girls is Important"
The Leadership & Service Center invites you for this unique opportunity to serve as a mentor to a woman undergraduate and join the Women's Mentor Network! Your role as a mentor allows you to make a difference, share your expertise, and gain insight to our women at Carolina.
A mentor can be defined as, “someone whose hindsight can become your foresight.” The purpose of the Women’s Mentor Network is to create a multi-generational community of women, who support one another through sharing their life experiences.
The WMN strives to provide mentees guidance on what it takes to be successful, how to overcome potential obstacles women may face in college, their academics, and their future career.
Over the course of the academic year, the WMN plans events and workshops for you and your mentee to build your network and grow professionally and personally.
